Essential Duties
- Maintains overall responsibility for all aspects of the financial institution’s retail network, including the implementation of strategies and establishment of goals to achieve growth, profit, operational efficiency and customer service objectives.
- Provides overall direction, guidance and support to sales and Treasury Management officers.
- Collaborates with fellow officers in developing, implementing and marketing new products and in making product and marketing strategy modifications.
- Champions employee development to accomplish succession planning within the retail sector.
- Enforces, through subordinates, compliance with all federal and state regulations that impact the retail division.
- Ensures that staff maintains updated manuals and references as resources for staff training and business continuity, and to fulfill industry compliance guidance and regulations.
- Analyzes all levels of branch activity and provides related information/reports to the financial institution’s executive management group and the board. Identifies questionable actions, operational inefficiencies and collaborates with staff to resolve or improve them.
- Uses knowledge of financial services to develop and/or refer potential customers to the appropriate business development officer.
- Stays abreast of regulations and legislation, as well as other political and policymaking events that directly affect the financial institution.
- Participates in community organizations and events to enhance the images and reputation of the financial institution in the communities it serves or plans to serve.

- Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 10 years experience in banking, at least five of which must be in coordinating and/or managing a multi-branch network with demonstrated business development and/or sales management responsibilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve targets/goals.
- Must be an enthusiastic, positive leader and a productive team player.
- Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Ability to represent the financial institution professionally to outside and/or customer contacts.
- Advanced experience, knowledge and training in retail and operations activities, terminology and products and services.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
