PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
As a Customer Service Representative at VIP Services, you will work in our Transportation department. You are the customer facing point of contact for these consumers and represent VIP Services and our goal is to deliver nothing short of exemplary customer service. On a typical day, you’ll take calls and respond to email from consumers or facilities to arrange transportation services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
1. Answering calls / responding to email in appropriate and timely manner.
2. Respond to driver questions regarding scheduled pick up / drop off times for consumers.
3. Taking reservations from consumers / facilities for transportation.
4. Oversee reservations for assigned days of week adjusting current day schedule as needed.
5. Log turndowns (requests that are denied for any reason…typically due to full capacity)
6. Crisis phone coverage as assigned.
7. Primary point of contact for assigned facilities.
8. Receipt of Authorizations from Finance (for VIP clients) and check for accuracy.
9. Request Authorizations from funding sources for non-client transports.
10. Administrative & other duties as assigned (ex. process driver cash bags, generate various reports, gather
grant information, coordinate new client ridership, driver, schedule callbacks, etc.)
Minimum Requirements
- Customer service focused.
- Ability to follow direction, highly organized, knowledge of basic math.
- Work well independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to receive constructive criticism and use it to further develop skills.
- Patience & aptitude to work with adults with disabilities.
- Genuine respect, warmth, and interest in the needs of others.
- Collaborative, approachable, and communicative.
- Ability to pass a DOJ caregiver background check upon hire and every 4 years thereafter & new hire and
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Working conditions may involve noise and dust typical of a factory environment. Physical demands may require medium lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, pushing and/or pulling (up to 50 pounds).
