VIP Executive Search is partnering with a well-established and growing credit union to identify an experienced Business Development Manager who will play a critical role in driving membership growth, expanding community partnerships, and increasing loan production throughout South Florida.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly visible leadership position is ideal for a relationship-focused professional with a strong background in business development, financial services, banking, or credit unions. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic ambassador for the organization, building meaningful partnerships, expanding Select Employee Group (SEG) relationships, and helping drive sustainable growth across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
This hybrid role requires regular travel throughout the local market to cultivate partnerships, support community engagement efforts, and strengthen the Credit Union's presence within the communities it serves.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing growth initiatives that increase membership, loan production, and overall market penetration. This individual will lead SEG development efforts, foster strategic partnerships, represent the organization at community and networking events, and collaborate closely with executive leadership to support long-term organizational objectives.
- Develop and execute business development strategies that support membership growth, loan growth, and increased product utilization.
- Identify, prospect, develop, launch, and manage new Select Employee Group (SEG) partnerships.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing SEGs to drive engagement, membership growth, and loan production.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to SEG locations throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, chambers of commerce, and strategic partners.
- Represent the Credit Union at networking events, community functions, business expos, and industry events.
- Lead onboarding activities and ongoing relationship management for new partnerships.
- Develop and maintain an annual business development plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities to increase membership, loans, and product adoption.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including membership growth, loan growth, SEG engagement, and business development activities.
- Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.
- Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to evaluate ROI, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the business development budget and ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for Premier Members and key strategic partners.
- Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on strategic initiatives.
- Participate in organizational planning and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to increase product awareness, improve member engagement, and enhance service delivery.
- Support marketing, outreach, and community engagement initiatives.
- Represent the organization with professionalism, integrity, and a member-first mindset.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive business development, relationship management, or growth-focused experience within financial services, banking, credit unions, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success developing partnerships and driving measurable business growth.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
- Strong presentation, communication, and networking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and business analytics.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
- Credit Union experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership, boards, or community stakeholders.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
