- Supervise the housekeeping team, including room attendants, housemen, and public area attendants, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and according to brand standards.
- Inspect rooms, corridors, and public areas for cleanliness, organization, and maintenance needs, ensuring adherence to hotel standards.
- Assign daily work tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure proper usage of equipment and supplies.
- Provide ongoing training, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members to improve efficiency and quality of service.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring that housekeeping staff have the necessary tools to perform their tasks.
- Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly, ensuring all issues are resolved to the guest's satisfaction.
- Report and follow up on maintenance issues, ensuring that any necessary repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with scheduling and timekeeping of housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Monitor compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all housekeeping staff.
- Ensure that guest rooms are stocked with necessary amenities, towels, and linens as required.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of departmental budgets and cost control measures.
- Must adhere to the company's grooming, uniform, and dress code policies.
- Assist with varied projects as assigned.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing cleaning duties throughout the hotel premises, including guest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
- Capacity to lift and carry cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment weighing up to a certain specified limit (e.g., 20-30 pounds) to assist with inventory management, restocking, and manual tasks.
- Proficiency in reaching, stretching, bending, and stooping to access high shelves, low surfaces, and tight spaces during cleaning procedures, inventory checks, and room inspections.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment, handle small objects, and perform detailed tasks such as making beds, folding linens, and wiping down surfaces.
- Good vision, including the ability to read labels, signs, and cleaning instructions, as well as to assess cleanliness, identify stains or debris, and detect maintenance issues throughout the hotel environment throughout the hotel environment.
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, respond to guest requests or inquiries, and be aware of potential hazards or safety concerns while working.
- Sufficient physical stamina and endurance to maintain energy and focus during long shifts,
handle repetitive tasks, and complete a high volume of cleaning assignments within designated timeframes.
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently between tasks, adapt to changing priorities and schedules, and navigate different areas of the hotel, including stairs, corridors, and elevators.
- Good balance and coordination to maneuver safely around obstacles, avoid slips, trips, and falls, and maintain stability while working on elevated surfaces or using ladders.
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions, including temperature changes, humidity, and exposure to cleaning chemicals, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining personal comfort and well-being.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet the standards of cleanliness and service established by DoubleTree by Marriott. This position leads a team of housekeepers, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction while fostering a positive and productive team environment.
