About Vintage Views Bar

Vintage Views Bar is a growing mobile beverage and catering company serving weddings, corporate events, museums, and iconic venues throughout the Washington, DC region, including the Smithsonian National Zoo and U.S. Botanic Garden.

We're known for creating memorable beverage experiences through our mobile bars, coffee trailers, and handcrafted cocktails. As our catering business continues to grow, we're looking for a Kitchen & Production Manager to lead our commissary kitchen and help take our food and beverage production to the next level.

This is not a traditional restaurant kitchen.

Our production kitchen prepares everything from grazing tables and apps to fresh-pressed juices, house-made syrups, cocktail batches, and kegged beverages that support hundreds of events each year.

If you're highly organized, enjoy leading a team, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As Kitchen & Production Manager, you'll oversee the daily operation of our production kitchen and ensure every event leaves fully prepared.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead all daily kitchen and commissary production
  • Oversee preparation of grazing tables, appetizers, and catered menu items
  • Manage production of fresh-pressed juices, house-made syrups, cocktail batching, and kegged beverages
  • Create weekly production schedules based on event needs
  • Train, coach, schedule, and lead kitchen staff
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste
  • Maintain recipes, prep guides, and production standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health department regulations
  • Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and operating efficiently
  • Coordinate closely with our Operations and Event teams to ensure every event is fully prepared
  • Continuously improve systems, processes, and workflow as our company grows

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced kitchen leader with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
  • A proactive problem solver who takes ownership
  • Passionate about producing consistent, high-quality products
  • Experienced in inventory management and purchasing
  • A positive leader who enjoys coaching and developing a team
  • Excited to work in a growing company where every day is different

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following:

  • Catering
  • Commissary kitchens
  • High-volume food production
  • Kitchen management
  • Food production operations
  • Hospitality or event production

Experience with beverage production, batching, fresh juice production, or craft beverages is a plus but not required.

Why You'll Love This Position

Unlike a traditional restaurant kitchen, our work is incredibly diverse.

A typical week might include:

  • Preparing grazing tables for a wedding
  • Pressing fresh citrus for our signature cocktails
  • Producing house-made syrups and cocktail batches
  • Making hundreds of desserts for a special event
  • Preparing kegged beverages for our mobile bars
  • Planning production for museum events
  • Training your team and improving kitchen operations

Most of our work takes place during daytime business hours, with occasional evenings and weekends supporting special events.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($65,000–$75,000 DOE)
  • Paid Time Off
  • Health reimbursement benefit (ICHRA)
  • 401(k) with Profit Sharing
  • Monthly phone allowance
