Client: State Client
Location: Hauppauge, NY (Remote)
Terms: 3 months part time project
Total estimated hours = 960
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Managing Consultant for Workday Technical Implementation to assist Suffolk County Government with the implementation and support of their Human Resources System. The consultant will be responsible for a variety of technical tasks related to Workday configuration, customization, and integration.

- Benefits administration (including 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plans with Roth)
- Report writing (standard, matrix, advanced, trending reports)
- Custom business objects
- Payroll, time tracking, and attendance management
- EIBs (Inbound/Outbound)
- Onboarding/Offboarding
- Security policies (security groups, domain security policies, and functional area security policies)
- Event management
- Release management
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, test, and implement various HR-related business processes including time entry codes, payroll earnings, deductions, benefit plans, compensation plans, and security.
- Manage and support different Workday environments, including implementation, sandbox, and production tenants.
- Oversee and execute the technical implementation of Workday, ensuring it meets business requirements and timelines.
- Create, configure, and implement business processes to align with HR strategies.
- Design and configure calculated fields and adaptive planning for HR processes.
- Develop and customize standard, matrix, advanced, and trending reports to meet the needs of the organization.
- Ensure the reports provide the necessary data for decision-making and performance tracking.
- Assist with data conversion for HR-related processes.
- Integrate external systems with Workday using EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders).
- Configure and manage security settings, ensuring that Workday meets required security standards.
- Implement security policies for various user groups and functional areas.
- Work closely with the internal teams, other departments, and third-party vendors to ensure a smooth implementation process.
- Collaborate with the HR team to identify any customizations required and provide technical solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of Workday after implementation.
- Perform ongoing maintenance and optimizations based on user feedback.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of Workday, including business processes, calculated fields, adaptive planning, compensation structures, data conversion, and security management.
- Proficient in Workday configuration, including designing and implementing business processes, payroll, benefits administration, compensation structures, and security.
- Experience with integration tools like EIB (Enterprise Interface Builders) for inbound and outbound data processes.
- Strong experience with time tracking, attendance management, onboarding/offboarding, and event management within Workday.
- Ability to design and generate various types of reports (standard, matrix, advanced, and trending reports).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders including business and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues during implementation and after deployment.
