Vino Bambino Winery is a family-owned urban winery in Broomall, PA known for handcrafted wines and interactive wine blending experiences. We are looking for an Assistant Winemaker & Wine Experience Host to support winery production while also leading tastings, blending experiences, and private events.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their wine career who wants broad hands-on experience in winemaking, lab work, bottling, winery operations, and customer-facing hospitality. The role combines real cellar responsibility with experience hosting our signature wine blending events.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the winemaking team on day-to-day cellar and production activities
- Perform routine winery lab testing, including common wine analyses such as pH, TA, SO2, and acetic acid / VA
- Assist with blending, racking, topping, filtration, bottling, labeling, and wine movements
- Maintain accurate records for lab work, additions, blending, and production activity
- Clean and sanitize tanks, barrels, hoses, equipment, floors, and winery work areas
- Monitor barrel and tank conditions and help ensure wines stay within quality standards
- Organize finished wine, customer inventory, and bottle pickup coordination for blending clients
- Host wine blending experiences, tastings, and select private events
- Confidently explain wines, blending, and winemaking to guests in an engaging and professional way
- Set up, run, and clean up events while delivering a polished customer experience
- Assist with general winery and warehouse tasks, including loading/unloading and forklift operation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Enology, Viticulture, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field preferred
- Recent graduates or candidates currently completing a related degree are encouraged to apply
- Winery, harvest, cellar, lab, tasting room, or related experience is a plus
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and leading guest experiences
- Strong work ethic and willingness to handle both physical and technical tasks
- Excel and general computer proficiency required
- Forklift experience preferred, or willingness to learn
Schedule
- Full-time
- Mix of weekday winery work plus some evenings and weekends for events
- Harvest season will require longer hours as needed
