We partner with schools, camps, and community organizations across the country to deliver high-quality summer camps and after-school programs led by enthusiastic, caring educators.
Position Overview
We are seeking Summer Camp Educators to lead or assist engaging, in-person enrichment camps. Educators create a safe, inclusive, and energetic learning environment while delivering hands-on lessons using provided curriculum. Programs may include subjects such as entrepreneurship, STEM, coding, robotics, art, design, cooking, theater, writing, games, and more.
This role is ideal for teachers, camp counselors, coaches, artists, graduate students, and education-minded professionals looking for meaningful summer work.
Interviews and trainings are conducted remotely. All classes are held in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or assist engaging, hands-on enrichment lessons using VAC-provided curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Supervise students and ensure safety at all times
- Manage classroom behavior using positive and age-appropriate strategies
- Prepare materials, set up activities, and assist with cleanup
- Communicate professionally with site staff, families, and VAC leadership as needed
- Complete required training, paperwork, and background check
- Represent VAC Enrichment with professionalism, enthusiasm, and reliability
- Follow all school, site, and VAC safety and supervision procedures
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational, camp, childcare, or coaching setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage small to medium-sized groups of students
- Creative, patient, dependable, and adaptable
- Comfortable following structured curriculum while bringing lessons to life
- Must pass a background check (processing time applies)
- Must have U.S. work authorization
Additional Requirements
- Reliable transportation to assigned campus
- Secure place to store teaching materials
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs and move throughout the classroom/campus
- Comfort standing, walking, bending, and engaging actively with students

Preferred (Not Required)
- Teaching license or formal classroom experience
- Camp counseling experience
