Overview:
The Pre-Production Manager will be accountable for developing pre-adoption product for the division in partnership with Design, Tech Design, Merchandising & a Global Vendor Team, that achieves aesthetic, quality and cost requirements against brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate seasonal concept and innovation vendor presentations for the design organization
- Manage the seasonal TNA (Time and Action calendar), ensuring all milestones are tracked and deadlines are met. Communicate key commit dates clearly to Design and Planning to maintain alignment and support on-time delivery.
- Develop and present protos, washes, testing results and cost options to Design, Merchants and Production to set standards for production
- Ensure seasonal departmental sample development meets the brands goals for quality and aesthetic, and aligns with Good/Better/Best strategy
- Meet seasonal IMU goals
- Execute departmental product development strategies as set up by leadership
- Ensure departmental seasonal development is optimal and aligns with the development ratio
- Collaborate with design on opportunities for innovation for future/current season, meet with vendors and mills to assess & guide product needs
- Ensure on time delivery of samples for milestone meetings and distribute sample status to cross functional team
- Drive quality initiatives in sampling and troubleshoot development issues to ensure smooth execution
- Create seasonal cost log and distribute targets
What You Bring:
- 4-8 years related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, Google Suite and PLM
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities, maintain composure under pressure, while remaining flexible
- Ability to respond to change positively
- Capable of seeing larger picture and understanding how your role impacts the larger business
- Strong time management skills
- An in depth knowledge of cost components and be skilled in cost negotiations to meet seasonal IMU targets
