Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. Responsibilities

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any concerns promptly.
• Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas, laundry, and organizing supplies.
• Document care activities meticulously in compliance with facility protocols and state regulations; update care plans as needed.
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with mobility or transfers, ensuring safety at all times.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health care, hospice care, or group homes is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or specialized caregiving courses are a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining compassion and patience.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other special needs is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
