Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook with at least 5 years of experience to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Perform catering duties as required, ensuring quality and presentation meet fine dining standards.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
- Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure consistency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Experience in fine dining settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to prepare meals accordingly is advantageous.
