Role Summary
The Community Agency and Database Coordinator is a 12-month, full-time position that supports student success by balancing administrative data management with direct student advocacy. The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the student database, tracking program expenditures, and connecting students to essential community resources. Additionally, the Coordinator helps organize workshops and academic services designed to drive Experience VU participants’ good academic standing, persistence, and graduation/transfer.
Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact by greeting visitors and responding to phone, text, and email inquiries from students, families, and campus partners.

Maintain accurate student files, log services in the StudentAccess database, and compile data for Department of Education annual performance review.

Assist the Director with budget management, including processing and recording account expenditures using Banner.

Procure and maintain office and consumable supplies.

Coordinate student referral services with community agencies.

Assist students with career exploration utilizing software and targeted activities.

Assist in coordinating tutoring, academic support, and retention initiatives to support participant good academic standing, graduation, and transfer.

Assist with workshops, transfer trips, and Trailblazer Kickoff Orientation.

Provide mentoring for students with disabilities focused on socialization skill development.

Maintain active knowledge of ADA, Section 504, and FERPA laws as they pertain to college students with disabilities.
Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in business, social work, or related field required

At least two years’ experience working with underrepresented populations required

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred

Collaborative skill set in community agencies services required to assist students (e.g., food insecurities, homelessness)

Strong skill sets in communication, record keeping, database management, data collection, and use of standard office equipment
