Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical- Surgical team, covering both Med/Surg Ortho and Med/Surg Adult units. This is a night shift position ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and enjoys the variety of caring for both post-surgical orthopedic patients and general adult medical-surgical patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and orthopedic med/surg patients
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage post-operative care
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate care as needed
Experience
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg nursing experience (Ortho and/or Adult Med/Surg preferred)
- BLS certification required (ACLS a plus)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently on night shift
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
