We are seeking a School Nurse to join our team at Vilonia. As the School Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and health of all students, providing essential care and promoting a safe learning environment. With your knowledge and expertise, you will contribute to the overall success of our school.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assess and advocate for the health needs of students, including conducting health screenings and assessments.
- Administer medications and provide medical treatments as needed, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and policies.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to students in need, collaborating with appropriate authorities if necessary.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions, working closely with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate students and staff on health-related topics.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, documenting treatments, interventions, and communication with parents.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to create a healthy and inclusive school environment, promoting overall wellness and preventing the spread of contagious illnesses.
Requirements: A valid RN or LPN license for the state of Arkansas and successful completion of all background checks.
