Villagio Hospitality Group is growing! We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager to join our award-winning team at Trattoria Villagio. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for teaching our Values and Beliefs to all new team members and instilling it in the management team. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall restaurant’s success through financial, operational, and development goals and focuses on strategy and driving standards of excellence as well as consistent business growth. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the development and growth of all Key Hourly and Team Members and is a Brand Ambassador.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for physical count of inventory twice in period, Mid-month and EOM and reconciling that information
- Collaborates with Sales Director on in-house events
- Works directly with Sales Director to build sales and be a good community neighbor
- Orchestrates grassroots and charity events, onsite and offsite
- Ensures guest satisfaction through execution
- Ensures collaboration between kitchen and front of the house
- Adheres to all standards, policies and procedures
- Represents Villagio Group’s Values and Beliefs
- Conducts FOH interviews
- Strategically navigates through ambiguity, challenges, and conflicts that occur in the restaurant
- Facilitates training, oversees all FOH and BOH training
- Ensures hourly team members comply with company standards and policies, and VHG experience
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs
- Responsible for proper roll out of new menu items and seasonal menus
- Proper forecasting of sales, PMixes, and labor
- Responsible for reviewing department schedules before final posting
- Responsible for creating hourly schedules to be emailed to General Manager for approval
- Responsible for ensuring all local and state health department codes are adhered to
- Responsible for attending weekly manager meetings and ensuring that information gets to hourly team members
- Responsible for ensuring payroll information is current and accurate
- Delivers excellent guest experiences and encourages the same from other employees
- Follows up with customers and responds to guest reviews in a timely manner
- Responds to and handles Guest problems and complaints
- Ensures hourly employees are well trained and certified to represent Trattoria Villagio
- Responsible for actively pursuing and bringing new business
- Sales goals will be provided and expected to meet and exceed goals
- Responsible all areas of the Profit and Loss Statement meet and exceed budget
REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective in providing exceptional guest experiences
- Effective communicator and team developer
- Innovative and creative while being detail oriented and organized
- Able to handle high volume
- Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems
- Ability to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicants
- Ability to exercise good judgement in making decisions
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 2-4 Years experience in high volume restaurants experience required
- Preferred certification include ServSafe and state/local licensing requirements
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards, and all procedures and protocols to comply with HACCP standards
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
- Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed
