Village Coachworks, a subsidiary to Village Travel, LLC. is currently seeking a skilled Upholsterer & Cabinet Builder to fabricate, install, and repair interior components of motorcoaches that are used for the entertainment division. This role combines woodworking and upholstery expertise to create durable, high-quality interiors that meet safety standards and specifications. The role is 1st shift and depending on experience, pay ranges from $19-23.00/hr.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install custom cabinetry, panels, and trim inside motorcoaches
- Build cabinets, storage units, seating bases, and interior frameworks using wood, laminates, and composites
- Upholster seats, wall panels, headliners, and cushions using fabric, foam, vinyl, and leather
- Repair or replace worn or damaged upholstery and cabinetry components
- Interpret blueprints and design drawings accurately
- Operate woodworking and upholstery tools and machinery safely
- Ensure all installations meet safety, durability, and aesthetic standards
- Collaborate with production teams
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow all company safety protocols and industry regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven experience in upholstery and/or cabinet making (automotive, RV, marine, or furniture preferred)
- Strong woodworking skills (cutting, joining, laminating, finishing)
- Knowledge of upholstery techniques (sewing, stretching, stapling, patterning)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers for extended periods of time. Moderate to heavy lifting is required. Ability to work in a confined area.
