Job Summary
The Head Golf Coach is responsible for leading and organizing the high school golf program at Village Christian School. This position provides instruction in golf fundamentals, strategy, and sportsmanship while fostering athletic development and Christ-centered character growth in student-athletes. The Head Golf Coach oversees practices and competitions, cultivates a positive team culture, and ensures compliance with school and athletic policies. This role supports competitive excellence within a disciplined, respectful, and mission-aligned athletic environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
A High School Diploma is required. Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of golf techniques, rules, strategy, and match preparation. Applicants must possess effective communication skills, leadership ability, organizational skills, and a commitment to modeling Christian character. CPR/First Aid certification may be required prior to the start of the season.
Applicants must submit a completed employment application and resume reflecting coaching and playing experience. Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide proof of education. Additional documentation such as TB clearance and a signed faith statement may be required in accordance with school policy and state regulations.
