Job Summary
The Campus Aide Substitute provides supervision and support to students before and/or after school, during recess, and at lunch on an as-needed basis. This position prioritizes student safety, positive behavior support, and the overall well-being of each child while maintaining a Christ-centered campus environment. The Campus Aide Substitute assists in maintaining order, enforcing school policies, and supporting classroom teachers and administrators to ensure a safe, respectful, and structured school day aligned with the mission of Village Christian School.
Requirements / Qualifications
A High School Diploma is required. Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or church setting is preferred. Current First Aid/CPR certification is preferred (or must be obtained as required). Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, sound judgment, the ability to supervise multiple students simultaneously, and a commitment to modeling Christian character. The ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency or high-pressure situations is essential.
Applicants must submit a completed employment application and resume reflecting educational background and relevant experience. Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide proof of education. Additional documentation such as TB clearance and a signed faith statement may be required in accordance with school policy and state regulations.
