Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough post-closing reviews of mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with regulatory, investor, and company standards
- Accurately identify, document, and categorize any discrepancies or defects found during the audit process
- Adhere to established auditing guidelines, investor requirements, and internal policies
- Consistently meet productivity and quality benchmarks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven experience with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Windows and Encompass (Encompass preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 1-2 years of auditing experience preferred
- Familiarity with FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, and root causes in loan file data
- Strong understanding of mortgage loan documents, compliance regulations, and post-closing procedures
