Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and reconcile complex bankruptcy ledgers to ensure absolute financial accuracy.
- Accurately apply and track pre-petition and post-petition payments in strict compliance with bankruptcy laws and investor guidelines.
- Utilize Black Knight MSP to manage, update, and audit loan records throughout the bankruptcy lifecycle.
- Identify, research, and resolve ledger discrepancies, payment misapplications, or suspense balance issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal bankruptcy teams, legal counsel, and trustees to ensure seamless loan servicing.
- Prepare detailed ledger histories and financial breakdowns for court filings or internal audits as needed.
- Proven experience with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Encompass experience preferred
- Must have direct, hands-on experience with Black Knight MSP.
- 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry
- Experience in bankruptcy ledger accounting, for both pre-petition and post-petition payments.
- Strong mathematical and analytical mindset capable of auditing line-by-line financial transactions.
