Villa at Traverse Point is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join their team! The Personal Care Assistant helps patients/residents with comprehensive and personalized health care needs under the supervision of a nurse in Ohio Assisted Living Facilities.

Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides physical support for patients’/residents’ daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
- Ensures proper resident/patient diet based on their dietary restrictions.
- Notes and communicates patient/resident behavior and changes in mood.
- Cleans rooms and bed linens.
- Answers to patient calls and needs.
- Transfers residents to and from activities.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff.
- Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- One year or more of experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment preferred.
- CPR certified or the ability to become certified within 3 months, preferred.
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
- Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.
- Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
