Kindergarten Teacher (Lower School)

Villa Duchesne, a Catholic independent school rooted in the Sacred Heart tradition, is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Lower School Elementary Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. Qualifications & Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education (master’s degree preferred).
• Have prior experience teaching at the elementary level, with a deep understanding of child development and best practices in education.
• Demonstrate a deep commitment to student-centered learning and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Have an expert understanding of teaching pedagogy in literacy, writing, and mathematics.
• Implement a rigorous, engaging, and developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with the school’s mission and academic standards.
• Utilize innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support the academic, emotional, and spiritual growth of each student.
• Communicates thoughtfully and respectfully, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a commitment to clear, compassionate dialogue with colleagues, students, and families.
• Partners with parents in support of each child’s growth, communicating openly and respectfully about student progress, curriculum, and child development.
• Embraces collaborative teaching, working closely with teammates to design engaging and appropriately challenging learning experiences while seeking meaningful interdisciplinary connections that enrich student learning.
• Values ongoing professional growth through reflection, collaboration, and continuous learning.
