P&L Ownership

Essential Functions
P&L Ownership
- Manages the full financial performance of the parts department, including revenue, cost control, margin optimization, and forecasting
- Develops and executes sales plans for service parts, identifying growth opportunities across channels and customer segments
- Defines and implements marketing and pricing strategies for service parts, including promotions, bundling, and channel development
- Partners with service and sales teams and independent servicers to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Identifies bottlenecks and implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability
- Develops and maintains rolling forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business intelligence
- Owns key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, fill rate, and service level
- Analyzes demand drivers, seasonality, product lifecycle changes, promotions, and failure trends to improve forecast accuracy
- Implements and leverages advanced planning tools and ERP systems for demand planning and forecasting
- Conducts scenario planning to prepare for demand surges, supply disruptions, and market volatility
- Analyzes inventory levels and implements strategies to reduce excess and minimize stockouts
- Defines safety stock parameters and reorder points based on demand variability and service level targets
- Designs and implements inventory segmentation strategies (e.g., ABC analysis, demand variability)
- Supports product launches through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, promotions, and customer programs with aligned parts demand plans
- Negotiates supplier agreements and manages vendor performance to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met
- Conducts regular performance reviews of suppliers based on KPIs such as lead time, fill rate, quality, and responsiveness
- Implements stocking programs, consignment models, or vendor-managed inventory (VMI) solutions tailored to service provider needs
- Oversees end-to-end order processing, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Monitors and resolves backorders proactively, coordinating with procurement and supply chain teams to minimize delays
- Implements quality control checks to ensure correct parts are picked, packed, and shipped with minimal errors
- Ensures timely updates to customers regarding order status, delays, or substitutions, maintaining a high level of service
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of experience in parts management, supply chain, or service operations
- Strong proficiency with forecasting tools and ERP systems (i.e., SAP, SysPro, IBP, Logility, Intuendi, etc.)
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; knowledge of analytics tools is a plus
- Proven track record of full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin optimization
- Demonstrated ability to drive sustained sales growth, with measurable results in revenue expansion, market share gains, or customer acquisition
- High-level understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and production planning
- Excellent analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to effectively facilitate discussions and influence without authority in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally, in writing, and through formal presentations
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in goals and objectives
- Experience in fast-paced, high SKU-count environments preferred
