What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drag Racing Technical Support/Customer Service position at Viking Performance, Inc.?
Viking Performance, Inc. specializes in automotive high-performance shock absorbers, springs and bearings for the racing, street performance, muscle car and hot rod markets. Viking has an opening for a full time Drag Racing Technical Support / Customer Service Specialist. We are looking for candidates that will:
* Have strong automotive knowledge, especially regarding early and late model muscle cars, and racing applications.
* Assist customers in determining and selecting the proper product for their particular vehicle and vehicle use.
* Answer product questions as needed; suggest information about related products.
* Receive orders by email, fax, and answering the telephone.
* Open and maintain customer accounts by recording and updating account information.
* Enter orders and verify product availability.
* Keep customers informed by confirming and clarifying orders. Communicate shipping or back-order delays, and track delayed packages.
* Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determine the cause of the problem; select and explain the best solution to solve the problem; follow up to ensure resolution.
* Assist in processing UPS shipments and billing as needed.
Education / Experience:
* Have strong automotive knowledge, especially regarding early and late model muscle cars, and drag racing / other automotive racing applications.
* Must have knowledge typically obtained with a high school or equivalent diploma; college or technical school a plus.
* Must have dependable attendance and be a team player.
* Must have computer data entry skills and be comfortable and quick on a keyboard.
