BRIEF JOB SUMMARY: Under general direction, sets up, configures, and supports internal and external network endpoint security solutions. Maintains endpoint and application security. Troubleshoots security issues including related applications. Assists in the support of the server, telecom, and infrastructure environment. Provides technical support to Help Desk and end users. Assists management in technology planning as well as development of procedures. Conducts research and evaluation of network technologies and provides recommendations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Serves as technical specialist for endpoint and application security.
- Assists management in technology planning as well as development of procedures.
- Audits business technologies for security vulnerabilities and best practices
- Assists with PCI Compliance and NIST security standards implementation
- Provides secondary support of server, telecom, and infrastructure systems according to established procedures.
- Provides network documentation, training, and guidance to other IT staff.
- Installs, configures, and maintains network components, including hardware and software.
- Analyzes and resolves technical problems for established networks.
- Evaluates services and recommends cost savings.
- Maintains knowledge of current hardware and software technologies and applications.
- Assists in setting and documenting computer network standards.
- Works with other IT staff to ensure connectivity, security, and compatibility between systems.
- Documents and tracks network issues and change management requests.
- Coordinates support and purchasing activities with outside vendors as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Travel and off hour work may be necessary.
- Provides on-call support during evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in cyber security or technical certifications in network security, computer science or information technology or related fields.
- General knowledge of cyber security frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, or NIST CSF.
- General knowledge of security solutions such as Email Security Appliances, Endpoint security software, Vulnerability Management, as well as SIEM systems
- Understanding of Cisco, Meraki, Windows, and other industry solutions.
- Understanding of networks protocols and encryption methodologies.
- Understanding of networking and telecommunications.
- Understanding of technical concepts such as IoT and IT vs OT.
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Cybersecurity certifications a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Independent contributor not responsible for the work of others.
- Individual should desire continual self-improvement and have a focus on learning new skills.
- Individual must analyze complex technical information.
- Must be able to troubleshoot both simple and critical issues pertaining to systems and technology.
