- PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under general supervision, is responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence reports and visualizations predominantly using the Strategy business intelligence toolset. This includes working with analysts to understand report requirements, unit testing, verifying, debugging, and system documentation. Will perform light administrative functions as required.
- MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hands-on development of reports and dashboards using Strategy
- Reviews requirements and design documents and identifies required solutions
- Develop a strong understanding of the source system(s) and the relationships within the data
- Support special projects, ad-hoc reporting requests, and issue resolution
- Interface closely with IT management to roll out Strategy reports and dashboards
- Develop and maintain documentation for reporting, tracking all changes
- Training and mentoring less senior members of team
- Keeps up-to-date with all current and planned functionality within the supported reporting systems.
- Assists in verification of data accuracy within dashboards and reports.
- Designs and executes test plans that are designed to find errors, ensure that the information meets requestor’s specifications, and results in a quality implementation with no negative business impact
- Helps to debug errors found in testing.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about reports and programs.
- May be required to assist in project implementation teams.

- Manage and migrate Object Manager packages between environments
- Monitor Log-Files (dsserrors.log, distribution services log)
- Schedule and monitor Intelligent Cube refreshes
- Troubleshoot failed IC’s and other system errors
- Upgrade planning and testing
- Library and workstation deployment and support
- License Monitoring & Management
- Set up and manage user, group, and role privileges
- Monitor and maintain status of Intelligent Cubes and element, object, and doc caches
- Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting
- Analytics Architecture
- Maintain data structure and relationships
- Maintain correct data source availability in MicroStrategy
- Develop and maintain schema objects
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is desired but not required. A minimum of two years of experience in Strategy business intelligence reporting tools and SQL is required. Experience reporting over JD Edwards E1 database preferred. Other requirements include:

SCOPE OF DECISION-MAKING: Decisions require complex analytical judgment.
