At a Glance:

• Position: Machine Set-Up
• Pay: Competitive wage ranged between $28.97 - $37.06/hour (this wage range does not includes the shift differential of an additional $1.50/hour worked for 3rd shift).
• Schedule: Sunday Evening- Friday Morning, 10:00 p.m.-6:30 a.m.

About the Role

We are currently hiring for a Machine Set-Up Technician to join our 3rd shift team (10:00pm– 6:30am). In this role, you’ll set up and operate grinding machines used to manufacture twist drill bits, ensuring each product meets exact specifications. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, precision machining, and being part of a company that invests in its employees.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day will include:

• Reading blueprints and job cards to understand dimensions, tolerances, and production requirements
• Setting up grinding machines, tooling, and components
• Adjusting machine controls for speed, feed rate, and wheel angles
• Inspecting finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Troubleshooting equipment to keep production running efficiently
• Performing routine machine maintenance
• Completing required production and inventory documentation
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Assisting with machine operations as needed

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, manuals, and procedures
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measurement)
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and mechanical processes
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and identify mechanical issues
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) on 3rd shift and meet attendance requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands to handle drill bits and tools
• Visual acuity includes close vision, depth perception, and color vision
• Must successfully complete a post-offer physical assessment
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
