Purpose:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and regulatory filings. This role will work closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. accounting standards.
The position also provides an opportunity to collaborate with the reporting requirements for the company’s international parent organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Month-End Close
- Prepare and post journal entries during the monthly close process
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger and supporting schedules
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close activities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Assist in variance analysis and provide explanations for financial results
- Support preparation of consolidation packages for the parent company
Account Reconciliations
- Perform and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies
- Maintain proper documentation for audit support
Compliance & Filings
- Support preparation of statutory filings and regulatory reports
- Assist with external audits and tax preparation
- Ensure accounting practices comply with U.S. GAAP and company policies
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
- Assist with implementation or enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
- Partner with finance leadership on special projects and ad hoc analysis
- Support integration and reporting alignment with the international parent company
Accounting & Operational Support
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly reports assigned
- Manager expense report processing including setting up of new users and review of report entry for posting to the general ledger
- Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed
- Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Advanced Excel skills

- CPA or CPA candidate
- Experience working with an international or multinational company
- Experience with ERP accounting system implementation
