What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare financial reports and assist in analyzing financial data to drive business decisions
- Collaborate with project managers to track budgets, job costs, and contract billings
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Assist in developing and refining accounting policies and internal controls
- Prepare for annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA a plus)
- 4 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction, real estate, or project-based industries
- Strong understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting and job costing
- Proficient in accounting software (experience with [insert specific software if known]) and Excel
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and a self-starter
