The Opportunity

As a growing business, you will be joining Vigilant at an exciting time. We see meaningful growth ahead across both the wine and cigar storage sectors, and this role sits at the center of how our projects come to life.

You will work across two equally important parts of our process: creating client-facing visualizations that help our sales team bring ideas to life, and translating those designs into precise technical documentation that our production teams need to build them.

This is a role that requires both a strong visual eye and a technical mind. Someone who is genuinely comfortable in both worlds will find a lot of satisfaction here. Your work will be highly visible, your input will matter, and you will be solving real, tangible problems every day.

Who You Are

You’re comfortable working across both sides of the process, from client-facing visualization to production-ready documentation. You have an intuitive sense of how things are actually built and bring that context to your designs.

You stay organized, ask good questions, and take ownership of your work. This is a hands-on role, and you’re someone who follows through, meets deadlines, and figures things out when things aren’t perfectly defined.

You are a team player, are open to feedback, and hold yourself to a high standard

What You’ll Own

· Creating client-facing design proposals and visualizations from sales briefs, with a standard turnaround of one to four business days

· Building spatially-accurate, visually-compelling Google SketchUp models and renders that reflect the client's vision and the Vigilant brand

· Joining client-facing meetings when your presence adds value and presenting your work clearly and confidently

· Processing design documents into shop-ready files , including AutoCAD drawings, cut lists, and bills of materials for our CNC programmers and production teams

· Maintaining and organizing standard product documentation including shop books, product drawings, and BOMs

· Supporting the Design team with pricing documentation, proposal prep, and other departmental needs as they come up

Assisting management on cost and margin analysis

What You’ll Bring

· Strong proficiency in Google SketchUp and AutoCAD

· A portfolio of work that shows spatial thinking, design sensibility, and attention to detail

· A strong sense of how designs translate into real-world fabrication

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for production and costing work

· Preferably two or more years of design experience in an architectural, interior design, custom manufacturing, or luxury product environment.

· Experience with AI-assisted rendering tools and prompt engineering for design visualization is a plus. Candidates with practical experience here will stand out.

· Some familiarity with woodworking, cabinetry, and interior architectural elements is a plus.

· A degree is preferred but not required. We care about how you think and what you’ve done.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
