Shift: Full-Time (40 hours per week on average)

Job Hours: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm Mon - Thurs, 9:00am - 1:00pm Friday, Some Saturdays

Base Location: Onsite - Covington, GA.  

Division/Department/Program: STRIVE Clubhouse

 

View Point Health’s STRIVE Mental Health Resiliency Clubhouse is located in Covington, Georgia. STRIVE provides a nurturing and safe space for youth, grades K-12, and families within a diverse and culturally competent environment to promote positive mental health. Support youth to build on their talents and develop resilience through developing leadership skills, fostering relationships and increasing family community involvement. We are looking for a Program Manager / Behavioral Health Provider (C&A) to join our multi-disciplinary team to provide administrative oversight of all The STRIVE Clubhouse operations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:     

  • Work directly with children, adolescents, caregivers, family members, and local community.
  •  Ability to drive a 15-passenger van and provide transportation (pick-up & drop off) of clients.
  • Assist with preparation of nutritional meals for group members during onsite activities.
  • Shops for programmatic related items (groceries, supplies, etc.).
  • Familiar with Clubhouse Curriculum Modalities (Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Expressive Arts, 7 Cs of Resiliency, and Strengthening Families Program).
  • Facilitate group social skills weekly to children and adolescent (C&A) client members of the clubhouse.
  • Research and facilitate group activities and monitor peer support groups. 
  • Research and conduct onsite and off-site activities.
  • Create fun and innovative programming, workshops, activities, field trips, etc., that supports the resilience progress of client clubhouse members.
  • Writes timely progress notes (within 24 hours) that relate directly to the treatment outcomes described in the service plan.
  • Manages the Failed Claims/ Failed Activities Calendar.
  • Request Authorization Units for all service groups.
  • Participate in weekly staffing meetings.
  • Collects programmatic data for end of month reports (academic, assistance, behavior, surveys, etc.).
  • Assists with new clients, Open Access Registration and application process.
  • Assists in the recruitment and development of group members.
  • Attends Community Outreach Activities.
  • Provides administrative support to Program Manager as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.                                 

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and three years of job related experience in a social services related position; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Social Services Technician 2 (SST011) or position equivalent. 

 

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least one year of experience working with children and adolescents with mental illness/behavioral health.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of DBT and/or play therapy preferred.
  • Experience with Care Logic or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Comfortable and proficient with collaborative & concurrent documentation.
  • Experience in trauma-informed care.

 

Requirements/Competencies:

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
  • Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
  • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.

 

Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
