Victory Truck Body is seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our production projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be the key point of contact for all job-related activities, including sales, engineering, scheduling, production, quality control, purchasing, and accounting.

Compensation: We offer a competitive total compensation package and are fully committed to helping every employee attain their professional and personal goals. The starting annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. The salary is negotiable and will be based on experience.

Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM *Full-time, in-person, on-site with no remote option

Job Summary:

The Project Manager reports directly to the VP of Operations and will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of projects to maximize efficiency throughout every stage of the production process, optimizing efficiency and output at each step. This role supports multiple departments in meeting deadlines and deliverables efficiently while ensuring that all required components and documentation are in place to facilitate accurate and timely invoicing. This position requires daily on-site presence—remote or hybrid work options are not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Manage the full lifecycle of truck body projects, from initial sales inquiry to final product delivery, ensuring seamless communication between all departments (sales, engineering, production, quality control, purchasing, and accounting).
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to define project requirements, timelines, and specifications. Translate customer needs into actionable project plans.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs meet customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities. Coordinate the flow of design information and provide feedback for revisions as necessary.
  • Scheduling & Resource Management: Develop detailed project schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials, parts, and labor. Monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines, and adjust schedules as needed to avoid delays.
  • Production Oversight: Act as a liaison between production teams, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to meet project deadlines. Identify potential roadblocks early and provide solutions to keep production moving smoothly.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all projects meet Victory Truck Body's quality standards by working closely with the quality control team to inspect products at various stages of production. Address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Purchasing Coordination: Work with the purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of all required materials and components. Ensure that purchasing is aligned with project schedules and production needs.
  • Accounting & Invoicing: Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all project costs are tracked accurately and that all project components are accounted for. Ensure that final invoicing reflects project scope, materials used, labor, and any additional charges. Verify that all financials are in order before the invoice is completed.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify challenges and work cross-functionally with departments to resolve issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as the primary source of information related to timeline and potential obstacles throughout the project, keeping our internal team updated on project status, changes, and any potential delays.
  • Reporting: Develop visibility, report and provide updates to leadership on project progress, highlighting key milestones, risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline project workflows and increase overall efficiency and throughput.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in manufacturing or custom fabrication industries
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing production processes, including engineering, scheduling, quality control, purchasing, and invoicing
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both internal teams and external customers
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems quickly, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with production scheduling, CRM, and/or ERP software (e.g., Toms Planner, Salesforce, Rootstock, etc. ) considered a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Knowledge of truck body manufacturing processes and materials is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field is preferred, but not required
