Technical Project Manager – Plastics Manufacturing / NPI
Location: Southern New Jersey / Greater Philadelphia (Onsite)
Compensation: $120K – $140K base bonus
Overview
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead high-impact programs within a plastics manufacturing environment, supporting complex products from development through full-scale production. This role operates at the center of engineering, operations, and customer engagement, with a strong emphasis on execution, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programs through full lifecycle with a strong focus on execution and operational performance
- Coordinate across engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance to drive program success
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and customer stakeholders, including executive-level communication
- Drive timelines, manage risks, and ensure alignment across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Support production environments by addressing technical, quality, and operational challenges
- Oversee program-related financial inputs, including cost tracking and project-level analysis
- Ensure readiness for production and maintain alignment with customer expectations
Qualifications (Required)
- 7 years of experience in program or project management within manufacturing
- Direct experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or closely related processes
- Engineering background with strong technical problem-solving ability
- Proven experience leading cross-functional programs tied to production environments
- Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles, including executive-level communication
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, and plant-level coordination
- Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Preferred Background
- Experience in regulated industries (medical device, pharma, or similar)
- Familiarity with ISO-regulated environments (e.g., ISO 9001 / 13485)
- Experience supporting high-volume or automated production environments
- Exposure to capital projects, process improvements, or production optimization
