Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely to load and unload shipments.
- Conduct order picking using RF scanners and
pick systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. - Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
- Perform materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, stacking, and organizing inventory within the warehouse space.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update records, and maintain accurate stock data.
- Assist with construction-related tasks or warehouse modifications as needed while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Support warehouse supervision by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following all safety protocols for heavy equipment operation.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments with hands-on operation of forklifts and heavy equipment.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in shipping & receiving roles demonstrating accuracy and efficiency.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and load & unload procedures.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles are advantageous for potential growth opportunities.
