Field Intelligence Specialist — Community Engagement & Canvassing

Victory Field Operations
Lansing, MI Contractor
POSTED ON 9/12/2026

About Victory Field Operations

Victory Field Operations (VFO) is a high-stakes field execution and strategic operations

firm trusted to execute complex programs where quality, accuracy and performance

matter.

Our mission is to fuel victory through precision field operations and relentless

execution. Our vision is to build the industry-leading field operations firm where clients

achieve extraordinary outcomes and team members achieve extraordinary personal,

professional and financial goals.

We operate around seven core values:

Integrity. Accountability. Excellence. Innovation. Ownership. Transparency.

Relentlessness.

Those values aren't words on a wall. They define how we work, how we treat our

people, how we serve our clients and who earns a place on our team.

We take care of our people because our people take care of our clients.

The Role

VFO is building a premier national team of 25–50 exceptional Field Intelligence

Specialists for specialized field assignments across the country.

This is not traditional high-volume canvassing and this is not door-to-door sales. You

are not selling products, collecting donations or trying to convince someone to buy

something.

We need people who can approach someone they have never met, quickly build rapport

and carry a thoughtful conversation that may last 15, 20 or even 30 minutes. You must

be incredibly personable, articulate and likable, but equally important, you need to know

how to listen, ask thoughtful questions, recognize important details and accurately

document your work.

We're willing to pay exceptionally well for exceptional people. Starting compensation is

$50/hour because this position requires significantly more than simply being willing to

knock on doors. In addition to base hourly compensation, Field Intelligence Specialists

may have opportunities to earn incentive and performance-based pay tied to the

specific project, individual performance, quality and achievement of established project

goals.

The people who consistently perform at the highest level will also be the first considered

for priority deployments, higher-paying assignments and advancement into leadership

positions.

You're not joining a gig. You're earning a spot on VFO's premier field team.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct structured, in-person community engagement on specialized VFO field

assignments

  • Approach and engage people professionally while building rapport quickly and

naturally

  • Carry genuine, substantive conversations rather than simply delivering a

memorized script

  • Listen carefully, ask thoughtful follow-up questions and pay attention to important

details

  • Accurately document information from field interactions using VFO's required

technology and processes

  • Follow all project protocols, confidentiality requirements, compliance standards

and quality-control procedures

  • Maintain productivity without sacrificing conversation quality or data accuracy
  • Exercise good judgment while working independently in the field
  • Remain calm, respectful and professional when interacting with people whodisagree, become frustrated or choose not to engage
  • Communicate effectively with VFO field leadership and respond appropriately to coaching and feedback
  • Represent VFO and our clients with exceptional professionalism in every interaction

Who We're Looking For

Prior canvassing experience is not required. We are intentionally looking beyond

traditional canvassing backgrounds because some of the strongest candidates for this

team may have never considered doing field work before.

You may be an excellent fit if you have experience in customer service, hospitality,

sales, recruiting, community engagement, public affairs, field research, interviewing,

military service, law enforcement, public safety, events or another role where your ability

to communicate and connect with people is critical.

More importantly, we're looking for people who:

  • Are exceptionally personable, articulate and comfortable talking with people from

all backgrounds

  • Naturally build rapport and make people want to continue a conversation
  • Listen closely instead of simply waiting for their turn to speak
  • Are curious and know how to ask a smart follow-up question
  • Pay attention to details and document information accurately
  • Read people and situations well while maintaining professionalism
  • Can work independently without needing constant supervision
  • Are reliable, coachable and accountable
  • Take pride in producing high-quality work
  • Want to work alongside other exceptional, high-performing people
  • Want an opportunity to grow personally, professionally and financially

Do NOT Apply If You:

  • Are looking for an easy way to make $50/hour
  • Are lazy or need someone constantly watching you to get the job done
  • Cut corners when no one is looking
  • Lie, cheat, falsify information or manipulate your work
  • Believe quality and compliance only matter when someone is checking
  • Are consistently late, unreliable or full of excuses
  • Create drama instead of helping solve problems
  • Resist coaching, accountability or high standards
  • Blame everyone else when something goes wrong
  • Believe project rules, confidentiality or company standards are optional
  • Want exceptional compensation without being willing to deliver exceptional performance

Mistakes happen, and we don't expect perfection. We do expect honesty and

ownership. If you make a mistake, we expect you to communicate it, own it, correct it

and learn from it.

There is zero room on this team for dishonesty, fraud or intentional shortcuts.

DO Apply If You:

  • Take enormous pride in doing things the right way
  • Are the person other people know they can count on
  • Hold yourself to a high standard even when no one is watching
  • Genuinely enjoy meeting and talking with people
  • Welcome feedback because you want to improve
  • Take ownership instead of making excuses
  • Want to be surrounded by other high performers
  • Are motivated by goals and opportunities to grow
  • Want your performance to lead to greater responsibility and earning potential
  • Want to earn a place on a team that notices and rewards exceptional work

Training & Performance

Every Field Intelligence Specialist must successfully complete VFO's required training

program before being deployed on a project. Being selected does not automatically

guarantee deployment; you must demonstrate that you are prepared to meet VFO's

standards.

Once deployed, continued opportunities and advancement are based on performance,

including:

  • Attendance and reliability
  • Data accuracy
  • Conversation quality
  • Compliance
  • Professionalism
  • Productivity
  • Client feedback
  • Ability to work effectively with VFO field leadership

Our strongest performers will receive priority consideration for future deployments and

opportunities to advance into Senior Field Intelligence Specialist and Field Lead

positions with increased responsibility and higher compensation.

VFO's vision includes helping our team members achieve extraordinary personal,

professional and financial goals, and we take that commitment seriously.

professional and financial goals and share them with VFO leadership. We want to know

what you're working toward and where you want to go because we want the

opportunities you earn at VFO to help move you toward those goals.

We expect a lot from our people, but we also believe companies should invest in the

people they ask a lot from.

Growth at VFO

This position begins as project-based, temporary work, but our goal is to identify

exceptional people who can become part of VFO's long-term national field organization.

We're not trying to build every project from scratch with a new group of people. We're

building a premier bench of proven Field Intelligence Specialists who know our

standards, know how to work together and can be trusted with increasingly important

assignments.

The people who perform exceptionally will have the opportunity to earn priority

deployments, higher-paying assignments, leadership opportunities and potential full-

time positions as VFO continues to grow.

Our Standards

We operate with Integrity, Accountability, Excellence, Innovation, Ownership,

Transparency and Relentlessness.

That means:

  • Do what you say you're going to do
  • Tell the truth, especially when something goes wrong
  • Protect the quality and accuracy of your work
  • Take ownership of your performance
  • Accept coaching and continuously improve
  • Treat your teammates, the public and our clients professionally
  • Protect confidential information
  • Never sacrifice integrity for production
  • We care deeply about the people on our team because our people are responsible for taking exceptional care of our clients.

Apply

If the $50 /hour starting rate caught your attention, it should. We are willing to

compensate exceptional people exceptionally well because we understand the value of

putting the right people in the field.

But this opportunity isn't for everyone.

We're looking for people who want to be challenged, want to grow, want to work

alongside other high performers and want their results to create greater opportunities for

themselves.
