TITLE: Hospitality Coordinator
CATEGORY: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
Serves as the hospitality lead for all church-wide events and all-staff events. The mission of the Hospitality Coordinator is to ensure all event guests feel welcomed, loved, and valued. They also ensure all details of the event are executed in excellence.
Essential Functions
The Basics for All Staff
- Spiritual Growth: oversees spiritual growth of the team, both employees and volunteers, and helping others take next steps in their walk with Christ.
- VFC Culture: we “guard the culture” when we communicate, model, observe, and celebrate the vision, values, common language, and common practices of Victory with our staff and the dream team.
- Ephesians 4:12 Model: “equip the saints for the work of ministry”. Our primary responsibility is not to do the entire ministry, but to equip - train, lead, and develop - others for ministry that builds up the body of Christ. All staff are responsible for equipping others in leadership.
- Essential Functions
- Develop, train, and maintain Hospitality DT leaders and members. Schedule and assign to events.
- Create training manual for hospitality service (i.e., types/levels of events, preferred caterers/vendors, sample photos, etc.).
- Plan through event research, budget review, creating checklists, ordering, shopping for décor, scheduling volunteers, communicating to campuses, etc.
- Track event details in the church management software
- Maintain an ongoing working relationship with vendors.
Maintain Tablecloths and Hospitality Closet Supplies/Inventory
Events
- Encounter Conference, Kid’s Camp, Women’s Events, Man Up
- Special Weekend Services and Holiday Weekends, Christmas Eve
- Victory Church Networking/Kingdom Builders/Legacy Events, Legacy Luncheons
- All Staff Events
- Hospitality Team Night and Churchwide Dream Team Appreciation Events
- Assist at other Church events as appropriate
Personal Development and Growth
- Consistently spend time with God outside of church time
- Attend meetings and training to continuously grow as a leader and as a person
- Listen to leadership podcasts
- Miscellaneous
- Complies with expectations in the Employee Handbook
- Fulfills the performance standards of the position and complies with policies, rules, and procedures of the church, including those communicated verbally or in writing
- Performs other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience Required
- High school graduate
- Experience with planning budgets
- Conceptualize event theme ideas
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite / Office 365 Products
- Prior event planning experience preferred
Time Requirements
- Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30 (1/2 hr. unpaid lunch break). If oversight is required for evening and weekend events, Hospitality Coordinator must be onsite and weekday schedule will flex.
