Lift Mechanic
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, diagnose, and repair equipment including Forklifts, Pallet Trucks, Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts and other industrial equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Complete work orders and data input in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Company and OSHA Standards
- Always use personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with tools, machinery, and hazardous materials.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as heavy equipment mechanic.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Technical degree preferred.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand 8 or more hours per day frequently stooping and kneeling.
- Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks.
- Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with confined space entry and industrial boiler manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
- Must be able to lift/maneuver 50lbs. unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipment.
Work Environment:
Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, (paint masks, respirator, when required) and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.
