What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping/Laundry position at VICTORIAN INN?
Cleaning and maintaining, assisting room/suite attendants with general cleaning of guest rooms and suites. This includes vacuuming, cleaning of floors; trash removal; stocking and maintaining supply rooms and other duties as requested.
Responsibilities and Duties
Cleaning of public areas to include, but not limited to cleaning lobby areas and other public spaces in the motel. This may include vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, wiping and dusting.
Washing laundry and stocking carts.
Distribute linens, towels and room supplies to housekeeping rooms.
Follow all company safety and security procedures.
Observe and report any damage of hotel property.
Participate in the scheduled general cleaning of guest rooms.
Ability to arrive at work on time and when scheduled.
Ability to work independently, completing all daily assigned duties
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members verbally and / or in writing.
Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to the areas assigned.
Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include, weekends and holidays 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Full Time
