ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for implementing quality checks, monitoring individual performance coordinating personnel assignments to ensure that work flow is maintained, identifying potential problem areas, maintaining goal attainment/training efforts and meeting production requirements.
Manage employees in the production area. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members in conjunction with Direction from Manager and Director of Laundry.
Analyzes work flow and conducts time and work measurement studies for efficiency.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to write reports, evaluations, etc., and communicate with fellow workers and supervisors.
Must remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
Is organized and prioritizes work and meet deadlines.
Comprehends and follows Managers instructions.
Troubleshoot and solve various problems within the operations area.
Perform duties within temperature ranges from hot to cold.
Maintain attendance.
Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in conformance with GSR standards.
Can work with interruptions.
Provide a safe environment for customers and employees. Report emergencies to proper authorities.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Direct employees to their work stations to insure coverage in all areas.
Review production necessities to meet demands of the hotel.
Perform employee evaluations.
Take care of employee requests/issues (time off, vacations, concerns, etc.). Conduct training in job duties, proper equipment use and safety procedures.
Troubleshoot and rectify supply shortages, quality issues, labor utilization, etc. Communicate any malfunctions to management/engineers.
Assist in all facets of operations when needed.
Make constant contact with both internal and external customers to provide optimal guest service. This includes contact with various hotel departments in an effort to provide/obtain pertinent information needed to ensure proper guest service is provided.
Lift from materials weighing from 1 – 50 pounds, up to 4 feet in height occasionally. Carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Stand, sit, walk, squat, bend (at neck & waist), reach (above & below shoulder level), twist (at neck & waist), push/pull, as needed for duration of shift. Simple/power grasping as well as repetitive use of the hands and fine hand manipulation are required to complete essential functions.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the Hotel.
Comply with Hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Hotel facilities.
In addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions to be determined by the supervisor based upon the particular needs of the Hotel.
Attend and participate in meetings in order to be informed of new rules, regulations and procedures and to discuss scheduling and/or other concerns of the Hotel and/or department.

Requires 3 years in proven production supervisory. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
