Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage good habits and emotional regulation
- Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, routines, and special needs to support individualized learning plans
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to share insights on their child's development and address any concerns
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards, including first aid procedures
- Incorporate inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs, supporting their unique developmental pathways
Skills
- Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare or preschool settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible environment
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions
- First aid certification and knowledge of emergency response procedures
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is highly desirable
- Effective communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Compassionate caregiving approach combined with patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for early childhood education
