Summary Description
We are a fast-paced HR organization focused on acquiring, developing, and engaging the best and brightest employees. In this role, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as an activist leader and advisor to your client groups while proactively assessing and anticipating talent needs. The successful HRBP will act as a culture champion and change agent on all initiatives. The HRBP formulates the necessary partnerships across the HR function and participates in multiple projects that deliver value-added results to management and employees. The HR Business Partner will maintain sufficient business literacy and acumen about the client group's products, services, challenges, competition, and culture.
Organization
The HRBP will support the approximately 500 US-based employees across multiple functions. The HR team consists of co-workers who focus on talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, labor relations, training, and HR technology. You will report to the HR Director for the U.S. and work closely with two HR Business Partners responsible for our other functional areas.
Performance Objectives
In your first few months, you will focus on developing in three key areas: Knowing Your Clients, Knowing Your Team, and Knowing the Business. Establishing this foundation will allow you to make an impact in the shortest time possible. Primary objectives during your first 90 days include:
Know Your Clients
- Get to know and establish relationships with client group leaders.
- Understand their work, including the products and services they provide.
- Embed yourself in their operation by attending meetings and events.
- Conduct a needs analysis to understand client group challenges, talent needs, and more.
Know Your Team
- Build relationships with your fellow HR team members.
- Understand and immerse yourself in all current HR initiatives.
- Become an expert in our HR technology.
Know the Business
- Become aware of our products and services.
- Understand our operating model and how we are organized as a company.
- Get to know our employees and be visible at company events.
Beyond the first 90 days, your work continues in our action-oriented and customer-focused environment. Success will be measured by completing several medium and long-term objectives in your first year and beyond. They include:
- Executing our comprehensive talent management strategy, which includes:
- Onboarding
- Coaching and development
- Performance management
- Talent assessments and succession planning
- Conduct compensation reviews
- Deliver training
- Conducting stay and exit interviews
- Monitor and track talent metrics
- Take a leading role in change management efforts in your client groups.
- Actively participate on the HR Compliance team to ensure legal, regulatory, and company policy.
- Support employee leave of absence and accommodation requests.
- Work with your client groups to complete the annual workforce planning process.
- Develop and use HR metrics, data, and analytics in the decision-making process.
- Become a champion and take a lead role in our Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts.
Experience
The person in this role should have seven or more years of Human Resources experience. Specific experience should be in employee relations, talent development, performance management, change management, HR compliance, recruiting, reporting, analytics, and compensation. Labor relations experience a plus. Candidates must have experience building and developing strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric results. A BS degree and professional HR certification are preferred (ex. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP). In addition, candidates should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

- Consultation - The art of providing direct guidance to organizational stakeholders (e.g., employees and leaders) seeking expert advice on a variety of situations or circumstances
- Communication - The ability to effectively exchange and create a free flow of information with and among various stakeholders at all levels of the organization to produce impactful outcomes.
- Technology Proponent – Our goal is to utilize technology to improve services to our employees and managers and make the business of HR more efficient. You should be able to use and promote various HR technologies.
- Resilience and Work Ethic – Do whatever it takes to successfully manage multiple projects, employee issues, and client demands. Be able to bounce back from adversity and setbacks.

Salary : $84,200 - $107,000
