Long Term Sub Physical Education

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate substitute teacher in an elementary school setting. This position is student days only, approximate dates August 31, 2026 thru November 6, 2026. $135/full day, position may be contracted through EDUStaff.

Responsibilities

· Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, addressing any behavioral issues in accordance with school policies.

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students’ education.
• Collaborate with staff, administration, and other professionals to support student needs.
• Support other school functions as needed.

Qualifications

· 60 credits and 2.0 GPA from accredited college/university.

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate OR substitute teacher permit.
• Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move about the building and campus to assist students.

• May require and employee to lift and/or move heavy objects.
