Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
A local construction and excavating company located at the Nucor Plymouth Site is seeking hardworking, reliable Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team.

The ideal candidate is a team player who works closely with the foreman and crew to keep projects moving forward while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality.

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, and backhoes.
- Assist with excavation, grading, site preparation.
- Perform general labor and ground work as needed to support project completion.
- Load, haul, and handle materials using various equipment and trucks.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Adapt to changing project needs and support multiple aspects of field operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dirt work, excavation, and site development.
- Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and safe work practices.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and address basic equipment issues.
- Commercial driving experience is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
