SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: The Director, P&O Effectiveness role will be responsible for leading cross-functional P&O projects that reach across different stakeholders and Associate groups. The Associate will also lead teams responsible for P&O systems/reporting optimization and P&O analytics/insights. The Associate in this role will be a key member of the P&O leadership team, working closely with the VP of People & Organization and other senior leaders to ensure that P&O initiatives are communicated effectively, delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards; will also serve as a key strategic thought partner to the P&O leadership team on the evolution of the function. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Lead key cross-functional change initiatives, representing the P&O function across multiple stakeholders, ensuring that all P&O initiatives are delivered in a consistent and efficient manner. Oversee the management of P&O projects, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and control, to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes. Serve as P&O representative to collaborate with VCA leaders and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives and projects that align with the overall OGSMs and P&O strategy. Partner with MVH P&O Systems and Analytics teams to harmonize VCA approach to P&O systems processes and utilization as well as ensuring common methodology/terminology in measuring people impacts. Work with internal VCA stakeholders to develop timelines, roadmaps and change management/communication plans to modernize organization’s approach to process governance. Provide management support to systems and analytics professionals within P&O organization. Serve as subject matter expert in developing and reporting on high impact P&O measurables, aligning to both VCA internal operations as well as MVH and Mars people reporting expectations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure data/reporting integrity and efficiency. Fulfills other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: College degree in HR, Business, or related field / MBA Preferred 10 years of leading mature HR processes and programs 5 years of leading cross-functional projects and teams 5 years of experience across multiple HR verticals, preferably in a multi-site, dispersed workforce 2 years experience standing up HR process and protocols in a dynamic, unpredictable environment Expert level of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio) Experience w/in a variety of HR systems/programs Experience developing high impact presentations for senior level consumption *All degrees will be deemed “or equivalent combination of education and experience” unless absolutely required to do the job (i.e., DVM degree for Veterinarian, Law degree for Attorney, etc.). PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills Experience managing change within a dynamic environment. Working knowledge of human resource operations. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $201,000 - $225,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
