Position Summary: The Team Lead is a working team lead position that provides day-to-day product line leadership, problem-solving direction and assistance, associate training, metrics reporting, and attention to job-related functions pertaining to their assigned product lines.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide front-line leadership to operators assigned to their teams and adhere to company core beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
Initiate and attend gate calls to resolve issues within the area.
Coordinates daily production including quality, scheduling, and tasks of other associates within the group.
Working Team Lead will have knowledge of Deburr areas and run machines to support department along with other lead duties.
Communicates daily cell objectives with associates, peers, support personnel, and management to meet cell/production requirements and associate performance goals.
Identifies, develops, and maintains measurements/documentation which fosters continuous improvement efforts that support a lean manufacturing environment (I.e. standard work, GEMBA boards, Kamishibai boards).
Assures workflow between stations and/or departments, providing parts, supplies, and equipment as needed. Stages upcoming production jobs.
Assists with establishing priorities, problem-solving, and setting goals. Evaluate systems and processes and make recommendations regarding modifications.
Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices are understood, and compliance is present on each line. Also ensures all work instructions are understood and are being followed by the operators. Non-compliance with GMPs and work instructions must be reported to the Operations Supervisor.
Demonstrates and promotes safety and good housekeeping practices in the area at all times.
Keep track of daily supplies and place supply orders when needed.
Expectations to train others as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
2 years of manufacturing experience with progressive responsibilities. Experience in the medical device industry preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
Detail oriented with an ability to solve problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine set-up and operations
Ability to work effectively and professionally with others and facilitate positive action.
