We’re looking for entry-level and experienced Construction techs who are committed to ensuring the quality of our construction, and the reliability of our network. What you’ll do:
- Install new Fiber Optic Network facilities (buried underground and possible aerial)
- Pothole existing utilities, place various sized vaults/handholes/manholes, excavating trenches/holes, core drilling building entrances, setting marker post, placing fiber cables
- Haul and move equipment from project to project
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Fiber Optic or Utility Construction experience is desired, but willing to train on the job
- At least 21 years of age and hold a current driver’s license; CDL endorsement a plus
- Able to perform manual tasks requiring frequent walking, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing and pulling
- Able to lift materials weighing up to 100 pounds
- Able to work outside in all elements
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (overnight and weekly stays required)
- Must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law.
- Must have an eye for detail and a solid work ethic
