Job Description:
VIA is seeking a Production Worker II candidate to work a on a per diem basis. Reporting to the Production and Distribution Manager, the Production Worker II is primarily responsible for leading a line or area in performing tasks involved in the direct labor of production, storage, and distribution of products/materials.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as line lead or area lead as needed
- Cuts, folds, clips, hooks or otherwise assembles materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished products from raw materials
- Utilize hand operated tools/equipment/machines to complete production/assembly of finished products (e.g. hammer, pallet jack, etc.)
- Utilize, maintain, and assist others in operation of machinery (e.g. sewing machine, fabric cutter, filling equipment)
- Perform basic testing and quality checks on assembled products prior to packaging
- Label and pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes
- Place finished goods on designated pallets or area and prepare for shipping
- Follow appropriate notification procedures
- Assist with storage and inventory of goods and raw materials in the warehouse
- Must perform all Production Worker I duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Experience working in manufacturing/line production/machine operation preferred
- Ability to provide documentation of legal blindness preferred
