Medical/Surgical & Telemetry Responsibilities
- Provided direct patient care for acute and chronic conditions on a fast-paced Med/Surg and Telemetry unit.
- Monitored cardiac rhythms, interpreted telemetry strips, and reported abnormal findings promptly.
- Administered medications, IV therapies, and managed wound care per physician orders.
- Performed comprehensive patient assessments, documented findings, and updated care plans regularly.
- Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and case managers.
- Managed patients with post-operative needs, pain control, mobility support, and discharge planning.
- Operated telemetry equipment, monitored vital signs, and responded to changes in patient status.
- Educated patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Ensured compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols.
- Handled 5–6 patient assignments efficiently while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Assisted with admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Provided compassionate care, emotional support, and maintained a therapeutic environment.
