What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Counselor (QMHP) position at VHBC and Virginia Support Services?
Virginia Home Based Counseling (IIH) and Virginia Support Services (MHSS) is a State-wide mental health agency that currently has positions open for Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) in Prince William County and all surrounding counties who are looking for outstanding pay, consistent work and a friendly work environment.
Both full and part time contracted positions available.
VHBC provides Intensive In-home services to at risk youth and their family in the client’s home.
VSS provides Mental Health Skill-building Services to mentally ill adults in their home and community.
QMHP's provide direct client care in the home and community.
The minimum qualification are a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field and at least one year clinical experience providing direct services to the mentally ill population you wish to work with. All QMHP must be certified through the Board of Counseling.
**If you lack the experience we provide paid training once registered with the board as a trainee.**
Bilingual, QMHP certified and/or previous IIH or MHSS experience a plus.
