Our New England Structures team is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on complex transportation projects across the VHB footprint.
- Work on major bridge and other complex transportation projects
- Provide technical support/mentorship to junior structural engineering staff
- Perform oversight of engineering design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure
- Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates and calculation.
- Perform quality reviews of project construction documents, engineering reports, etc.
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation experience
- Must possess strong project management and technical skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete) and seismic analysis
- Familiarity with structural engineering software (AASHTOware, LARSA 4D, MDX, midas Bridge, Mathcad, etc.)
- 5-8 years of experience in Bridge/Transportation projects in New England
- B.S. Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) (1-2 years may be substituted for a master’s degree)
- Master’s degree a plus
- PE license required
